SCCC is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music and the New York State Association of College Music Programs. The SCCC School of Music offers an exciting array of courses designed for students who are serious about music. degree program, Music/Business A.A.S. degree program, Music Certificate in Digital Music and Beat Production, and traditional Music Certificate program. Student ensembles include Wind Ensemble, Chorus, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Chamber Ensembles, Vocal Chamber Ensemble, Jazz Combos, and Orchestra (our only ensemble in conjunction with SUNY Albany). The School of Music is home to three ensembles in residence: the Empire Jazz Orchestra, Capital Region Wind Ensemble and Musicians of Ma’alwyck, and hosts guest artists-in-residence and performers annually. With its dedicated artist faculty and acclaimed ensemble and performance program, SCCC provides students with a first-rate musical education at an affordable cost. It's Not Too Late! SUNY Schenectady School of Music

It is not too late to apply or audition at the SUNY Schenectady School of Music for Fall 2026.

We have two audition days next month on Friday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 26. If students cannot attend either day, we can arrange an individual weekday audition.

We are also happy to chat with anyone interested in our non-auditioned certificate programs.
