On Monday, April, 24, 2017; the Schenectady City Council will vote on a resolution to rename the intersection of Jay and South Streets "Don Birch Way." In memory of a true Schenectady hero, the late Donald Birch, Sr. While this may seem like a no-brainer, if you have the time please stop down and show your support for the renaming in honor of Mr. Birch at the council meeting.

And that's just the money from gambling. It doesn't include food & drink revenue or any other kinds of revenue. $13.6 million is pretty damn good if you ask me. Slots are taxed by the state at 45%... That's pretty damn high; and table games at 10%. Most of the money is supposedly used for education, similar to the New York Lottery. Which is pretty good. Maybe Schenectady schools will improve a little with all of this casino money.

Dean Plakas was 36.
