Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk..." 🕋

Today, our halls were filled with the beautiful sounds of devotion as our students participated in their Mock Hajj. Seeing them walk through the rituals—from the Tawaf to the hills of Safa and Marwa—reminds us that the journey to Allah starts with a single, sincere step.
We pray that these lessons stay rooted in their hearts forever. May Allah make them and us witness the real Hajj next year. Ameen. 🤲

Virtue in Seeking Knowledge

With exams approaching, let us remember the virtue of seeking knowledge in Islam. When we renew our intentions, even studying is an act of worship. As students, our studies are an amanah: a trust and responsibility to seek knowledge with sincerity, discipline, and gratitude.

Tie it and Rely (Upon Allah)

Do your best in your exams and trust that He will place barakah in your efforts. This means revising diligently for your exams and showing up prepared. Tawakkul reminds us to take responsibility for what is within our control, and rely on Allah for what is beyond it.

Just as Prophet Musa (AS) turned to Allah when faced with a daunting task, we too are reminded to turn to Him. This du'a is for ease, clarity of mind, and confidence in speech-especially during exams, presentations, and times of pressure.

Assalamu Alaykum waRahamarullahi waBaraktuh

Dear Parents or Guardians,

This is a friendly reminder that the New York State ELA Examination for students in Grades 3 through 8 will take place on:

Monday, April 27
Tuesday, April 28

Please make sure your child arrives at school on time and is prepared for testing.

Helpful Tips for the Day of Testing:

- Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep. Children who are well rested are better able to focus in class and handle the demands of testing.
- Provide your child with a healthy, well-rounded breakfast. A healthy body supports a healthy and active mind.
- Encourage your child to do their best and remain confident.

This is a computer-adaptive test that helps measure a student’s growth and achievement in reading and math. It is not a test for grades, but rather a tool that helps teachers and parents better understand where a student is in their learning journey.

The assessment shows what a student knows and can do, while also tracking their progress over time. It helps identify areas of strength and areas where additional support may be needed, allowing teachers to personalize instruction and support each child’s academic development.

Come to school ready to do your best! We look forward to a successful NYS examination week!

Well-rested minds do great things. You've got this, AIS students!

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Best regards,
