Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day.

We honor those who lost their lives, the families and communities who endured unimaginable loss, and the countless people who showed courage, compassion, and strength in the days that followed.

May we continue to remember, reflect, and carry forward the values of kindness, unity, and care for one another.

Attendance Matters!

The first months of school set the standard for the entire school year. How we show up as teachers, school staff, and scholars impacts much more than the day we are in. As shown below, missing just ONE school day can set a scholar back 2.5 days in their math learning and 1.5 days in their Reading/Writing learning. It is important to communicate with us when your scholar will be absent to collect work they will miss, know about testing days, and keep an open line of communication with the educators that they see on a daily basis. Together, through this partnership we can ensure Destine Prep scholars stay in school, and stay on track!

Hello Destine Prep families!

My name is Shay Allen and I am excited to be your children's theatre teacher this year! Teaching has always been something that I loved along with theatre so getting to put my two passions together is a dream! My goals for this year are to show your children that theatre can be fun and is so much more than acting. My goals in the future are to open up my own non-profit youth theatre group so I can continue to expose more youth to all that the arts has to offer.

We welcome Ms. Allen into our community showcasing her years of expertise. Looking forward to watching her bring stories to life through theatre for all of our K-5th grade scholars

Meet our school social worker Ms. Fatato!

Adriana Fatato (Ms. Fatato), School Social Worker - My "why" is rooted in seeing all the small wins scholars have every day. I am driven by my passion to help others feel empowered in their lives. Every scholar deserves to have someone who sees their potential, believes in their story, and reminds them that they are capable of anything. My hope for the future of Destine is to support scholars in learning social-emotional skills that they are able to take with them beyond the classroom and their time at Destine Prep. My biggest goal was to land in an elementary school social work position, so I suppose it's time to start thinking of a new goal!

We welcome Ms. Fatato to our community with open arms as she provides our scholars with a comfortable environment to work through challenges, and obtain healthy SEL skills that they will carry with them for years.
