Hey, RU Psi Chi students! Interested in gaining some research experience working with kids in a multicultural enrichment program, and making a little bit of money too?! If so, please contact Dr. London at [email protected]
to become a part of this great opportunity! We are looking for students who can work with Kids College on July 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 from 12:30 pm - 3 pm. The camp will take place in Chicago at the Family Focus Center at 3517 W. Arthington Street. We will hold an orientation meeting at Roosevelt University on Thursday July 14 from 10 am - 12 noon.

Invisible Wounds: A Speaker and Film Series on PTSD and Mental Healthcare in the Military
The issue of mental healthcare availability and quality has quickly become a major topic of discussion in this country. Military su***de rates have skyrocketed of late and the number of PTSD cases reported is staggering. Questions regarding successes and inadequacies in the mental healthcare system are certainly worth discussing. In response to this growing issue of debate, Psi Chi will be presenting a series of films and speaking events which will provide a forum for discussion of PTSD, TBI, necessary treatment plans, and the access to, and quality of, psychological services for members of the armed forces.

Regional Research Awards:
All Psi Chi members (undergraduate and graduate) are eligible to submit their research for the Regional Research Awards. Cash awards of $300 each are presented to students submitting the best research papers to Psi Chi sessions at regional conventions. A total of 78 awards are available every academic year. Deadlines for submissions vary according to region:

2012-13 Graduate Research Grants - Fall PURPOSETo provide funds for Psi Chi members enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in psychology or a psychology-related field to conduct an original research project

Some of the things we will be discussing will be our charity fundraising mission, planning for our upcoming Networking Cocktail Party, and planning our new series--Invisible Wounds: a speaker and film series on PTSD and mental healthcare in the military. Come get involved and help plan this year's exciting new events!
