Meet Mrs. Moneghittie! This is her first year as a full time special education teacher! She’s worked as a counselor for an overnight camp for a few years, as a resident assistant in a nursing home in the memory care unit, full time as a daycare teacher, tutored and worked at the front desk at Northeastern Illinois, and also babysits when she can! Fun fact: her husband is from Australia! And! She also illustrated a children’s book that her uncle published over the summer!

HUGE shout out to Culver's off Algonquin Rd and our Social Committee for teaming up to surprise our staff with ice cream during lunch for National Ice Cream Cone Day!
Tomorrow is Dot Day! This day began from the book The Dot by well-known author Peter H. Reynolds. His book, The Dot, celebrates creativity, collaboration and bravery and encourages us to “Make our Mark” no matter how small we start! Although this is a student non-attendance day, all families across the district will receive a link to a District 54 with activities and ideas. The website will have a padlet for each school where students can share a picture, post or video of their creation or act. We can’t wait to see all of our in this activity!
A HUGE thank you to Girl Scout Troop 47025 for decorating our sidewalks to brighten our day as we walk into school this week! It was an awesome surprise and we all loved seeing our students’ pictures and handwriting in person!
New Staff Shout Out! Meet Dr. Siddiqui! She is one of our new EL Resource Teachers and will be working with 5th and 6th grade!
She has been an educator for the last 30 years, with teaching experience in Pakistan, Dubai, London, and then here in SD54 for the last 20 years. Welcome!

Meet Mrs Williams, she is our new secretary in the office! She has been married for 30 years, has 2 sons (Sean and Nathan), loves working out, being outdoors, crafting, gardening, cross stitching, dark chocolate, movies, playing darts, and time with family.
Our FABULOUS First grade teachers and lions are doing such an amazing job at learning the routine and being so independent with their virtual learning at home! We are proud of you!
