We conclude Day 1 of the Concept Schools 2026 Leadership Summit with something we will highlight as a
Please meet Aaron Lutterodt, PE Educator and Coach/Coordinator for the Concept Young Scholars program at Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati.
While we are proud to welcome Mr. Lutterodt as a member of the Concept Aspiring Leaders Program, we highlight his accomplishment because of the special connection he has to our schools. You see, Mr. Lutterodt is an alumnus of the school where he currently teaches, and to see him thrive as a leader among his peers is an honor bestowed upon our mission.
Mr. Lutterodtβs success is the hope we wish to achieve with all of our students. We have graduates who go on to attend the best colleges/universities in the world, we mold and produce students who achieve greatness in various fields of academics, arts, and business, yet there is a particular point of pride when they come home and choose to pass that same wisdom forward to the generations of students who will follow their lead.
Mr. Lutterodt, you personify the full circle of the Concept Schools experience. You truly never forgot from where you came, and so we want all of our network schools to know your name.

The breakout sessions of the Concept Schools 2026 Leadership Summit have been insightful, to say the least! Every hour of the day has added benefit for all attendees.
Educators are learning from one another, sharing ideas and best practices, and are eager to get back to their schools and implement new concepts.
The entirety of this Summit has been yet another success. It is a pleasure to see familiar faces, but an absolute honor to meet the up-and-coming leaders who are here as a result of the paths paved from prior Concept Schools pioneers!

It's all about being in the room where it happens.
As Day 1 (Pre-Summit Day) comes to a close, we take heart of what we gathered and what we take away from just a single day of attending:
- We met new teammates and shared stories
- We learned how united we are as a network, and how important it is to collaborate with those who are equally passionate in their work
- We learned together, respected one another, and paved a path towards helping one another to do what is best for our students and our communities
Professional development at Concept Schools is far more than just checklist of items to address. It is about working as a team, developing our personal and professional selves, and expanding our knowledge in our never-ending quest to

DAY 1 of the Concept Schools 2026 Leadership Summit is underway! This exciting event will take place during the next three days at the Eaglewood Resort in Itasca, IL.
The Leadership Summit is an opportunity to gather with the leadership teams and rising stars among the schools in our network. These three days are defined by professional development, teamwork, and networking, while being a platform for improvement for all schools. Our goal is to establish an annual gathering through which all attendees benefit from our collective brainpower, and then to return to our respective schools with new ideas and the inspiration to make this the best academic year ever!
More to come as the sessions take place, but as of this morning, this is going to be AWESOME!!

Earning a fully-paid trip to Washington DC is only a small part of this absolutely tremendous accomplishment!!
Samuel Ojeleye, Jonathan Saintrose, and Feranmi Famewo represent the greatness of Indiana Math And Science Academy West. These three students exemplify the mission of Concept Schools, and they represent the outcome of success we wish for all of our students.
The future is definitely in good hands...we see but a preview of what is to come, and we could not be happier to play a role in the academic development of those who are going to lead the way.

We strongly believe that academic excellence is not limited to time within a classroom. It is in the overall experience of each student, regardless of the setting, so long as the opportunity to learn exists. The Concept Schools College Champions Program enables select senior students of each of our network high schools to become part of an impactful tour de Concept.
Students are selected by their respective school's administration, as they exemplify our vision for college preparation. The Champions travel together to network among other seniors as well as with their respective alumni coordinators, and even have the opportunity to connect directly with Concept Schools CEO, Mr. Sedat Duman.
In Year 5 of this program, we remain convinced that the Concept Schools College Champions showcase leadership and learning beyond the halls of their respective schools.
"We would like to thank our teachers, counselors, and school administrators for creating an environment which promotes learning for these students,β says Sam Davis, Director of College and Career Success for the Future Institutes. β[The College Champions] students have demonstrated significant growth and made us proud with their achievements".
Choosing wisely begins long before the first bell of the day, and far beyond high school graduation. It was an honor to welcome them and to personally congratulate each of them for their accomplishments.

Some of Chicago Math and Science Academy's members of the Concept Young Scholars Program (CYSP) were in New York City this week.
Now, we know what you are thinking: Chicago students going to NYC while the Knicks are in the finals? We are more than confident that there are Bulls fans among this young and talented group, but this trip is about far more than cheering for a local team.
More importantly, the Concept Young Scholars Program is about student growth and leadership. These students take ownership of their paths, develop effective communications skills, and give back to their communities. It is an unforgettable, life-changing experience for all who are able to participate, and we are proud to strengthen these students in their success.
Excellent work, CYSP-ers!! May this trip to NYC help you broaden your understanding of other cultures (and to solidify your love of Chi-town! π)
