In August, the Society of Actuaries (SOA) was proud to serve as a Gold Sponsor of the Asian Actuarial Conference in Singapore.
Organized by the Singapore Actuarial Society, the conference brought together more than 1,000 attendees for a dynamic week of thought-provoking panels, insightful discussions, meaningful meetings and new connections across the actuarial community.
SOA President Dave Dillon joined the Presidents’ Panel, where he shared his perspectives on “Redefining the Future Actuary: Professionalism, Upskilling and Adaptability in a Changing Risk Landscape.”
We were also pleased to have Xiao Xu, Research Manager, SOA Research Institute, represent the SOA with a presentation on “Disaster Risk Modeling and Financing in Asia: Practical Tools and Cross-Country Insights.”
Beyond the conference sessions, our team enjoyed welcoming attendees to the SOA booth, reconnecting with longtime friends and meeting new members of the profession.
We were also delighted to host the SOA Singapore Member Networking Reception; an opportunity to strengthen relationships and celebrate our growing community in the region.
