It’s memory lane Monday! So we’re taking some time to look back on some fabulous GTM moments throughout the year. It’s always super fun when two GTM Board members show up on the same pulpit! This year Dr. Leah Casorla, and Shaliach Tzibbur Raymond Zachary got to make music and meaning at Temple beth El Tacoma, Washington during the HHD season! Here they are breaking the fast on YK with lots of giggles! (special shout out to the synagogue, mascot, bubah the dog!)

We are 25 days and counting until the start of the new year! So it’s time for another “ comment section conversation”! Ok the holiest night of the year, Kol Nidre, how does your community use this text? Do you do it three times sung? Half reading half singing? And what about the cello? Or maybe a violin? 🎻 we want to hear what you do to invoke meaning for this beautiful night of reflection.

Biennial will look a bit different this time around, and the URJ and partners want to make sure that the program reflects the needs of our leaders and communities. To that end, the URJ created a brief (9 minute) survey seeking feedback about the types of experiences and topics that are most important to our Movement. Having this data will also help inform the conversations around planning.

Please take a moment to fill out the 2026 Biennial Survey

With Elul starting next week, we all have love on the Brian! Elul being an acronym for “ I am my beloveds, and my beloved is mine” is a wonderful opportunity to take a second and be grateful for all of the things we love in our world this past year, as we gear up for HHD season. Drop a comment below with something you’ve seen in your community, the GTM, or even in the world at large that you have loved this past year!
