Community Helpers Week was one of our favorite weeks of the summer!

Our students had the opportunity to meet members of the Scarsdale Fire Department, the Scarsdale Police Department, and a very special visitor, Sushi, Scarsdale PDs emotional support dog. Through these visits, our students learned that community helpers not only respond to emergencies, but they also care for, protect, support, and strengthen the communities they serve. Sushi reminded us that kindness, comfort, and emotional well-being are important parts of helping others.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our school, answer questions, and inspire our young learners. Experiences like these help children build trust, curiosity, and appreciation for the people who make our community a safer and more caring place. ❤️

🌿🦙 We kicked off Summer Camp this week with an unforgettable adventure!

What better way to begin our Jungle & Safari week than with a real-life petting zoo? Our campers had the opportunity to pet, feed, and learn about goats, sheep, an alpaca, bunnies, and even a friendly hen! 🐐🐑🐇🐓

There were so many smiles, curious questions, and hands-on learning moments as the children explored the wonderful world of animals!

Over the past few weeks, the children observed each stage of the butterfly life cycle , learning to slow down, notice change, and care for living things. Our children were introduced to the sarod, a traditional Indian string instrument known for its rich, melodic tone. After listening, they even had a chance to gently strum the strings themselves.
