Our young artists recently stepped into the colorful world of Joan Miró. Inspired by the famous Spanish painter, our students explored bold shapes, bright primary colors, and playful lines to create their own masterpieces.

Art is one of the most joyful ways to connect children to language and culture. As little hands painted and created, they were also absorbing new vocabulary, building confidence, and discovering the heritage behind the art.

Learning Spanish is so much more than words. It is creativity, culture, and connection.

We recently visited Frida and Diego: The Last Dream at MoMA — and we are still inspired!

This stunning exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art celebrates two of Mexico’s most iconic artists, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, through an immersive, theatrical installation on view now through September 12, 2026.

As Spanish teachers and directors, experiencing their bold use of color, symbolism, and rich Mexican cultural identity firsthand has been a wonderful source of inspiration for our preschool art classes. We love connecting language learning with culture and creativity. Art is one of the most powerful ways to bring that to life in the classroom!

We encourage every family to make a trip to MoMA this spring or summer. It is a truly immersive experience that will spark curiosity, cultural appreciation, and creativity in children and adults alike.
