Child Care Connections, after over 20 years serving providers, families and community, will be closing on March 30th, 2012. Our contract with DHHS ends on March 31st and it will not be extended. Resource and referral services will be assumed and performed by DHHS out of the Augusta Offices. Maine Roads to Quality will be providing Core Knowledge Trainings throughout the State. You will want to watch the Online Training Calendar accessible through the Maine Roads To Quality website for upcoming training opportunities. Maine Roads expects to have a training plan available by April 1. We have enjoyed working families and providers in Cumberland County. We will miss all of you.

Money Is Available For Quality Improvement For Family Child Care Providers in Cumberland County
Are you a family child care provider located in Cumberland County who would like to move up to step 2 or step 3 on the Quality Rating System but the cost to improve your program is a barrier? If so, funding is now available.

The Quality in Early Education Fund in conjunction with the United Way of Greater Portland has provided money to help family child care providers in Cumberland County improve their program. Child Care Connections’ Education Specialist, Ruth Burke, is available to help you with this process.
