Junior nursing students Holly Green and Sarah Draper were each accepted into the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program from the Bureau of Health Workforce. The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and other educational costs and also provides a monthly stipend for two years.

Upon graduation, scholarship recipients provide care at facilities in the U.S. that are deemed to have a critical need for nurses.

Mountie Hero Madeline Jenkins is a 2019 RN, BSN graduate who works tirelessly on the front lines at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. She takes care of COVID-19 patients directly, as well as non-COVID patients who still need hospital treatment during the pandemic.

Mountie Hero Victoria Lanzara '13 is a graduate of the Mansfield University Nursing Program. She has been a nurse for seven years and her background includes ICU, medical-surgical, and psychiatric nursing. Currently, Victoria works for Cayuga Health System in Ithaca, New York and is completing a one month assignment at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City working on a COVID-19 unit.
