Make plans to join us next week for a special event with the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum!

On Tuesday, August 16, 5pm at the Rockingham Free Public Library, meet some of Vermont’s Watershed Wildlife with the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum. All life on Earth depends on water. We'll meet some of the animals found in your local watershed and get to know them and their connections to water a little better. Please note: There will be live animals at this event.

This program will also be the final event for the Rockingham Library’s 2022 summer reading program, Oceans of Possibilities. This program is free and open to all ages. The beautiful school house isn’t used as much as in years past. For obvious reasons, the teachers at SRMS have pivoted to a mostly outdoor learning experience, but on the rainiest and coldest of days the kiddos get to go indoors and enjoy their lovingly curated Montessori classrooms. The resourcefulness and hard work of our teachers has been nothing short of miraculous and seeing the resilience of our kids is likely what keeps us moving forward.
