Today, students, teachers, and parents went to the Richmond Black History Museum. Students learned about everything from the reconstruction Era to the present day with a guided and interactive tour of the museum. As always, we are so blessed to have such amazing students to take on these trips! They answered questions like pros and listened intently to the highly knowledgeable tour guide! It was a great day with amazing students and staff!

We had another successful Paint Night lead by Ms. Hudson!! Parents and students enjoyed learning how to create a fall painting with sponge brushes and stencils.

Today, parents and students enjoyed a variety of activities for our Saturday STEM event. They created art using marble painting, made pottery, weaved a pot holder, and created a mosaic. They ended the morning with a trunk or treat thanks to some amazing parents! It was a fun filled morning! Thanks to the parents and staff for everything you do!

Parents, please remember this week is spirit week as we lead up to Homecoming on Friday night for RHHS! The attire for each day is bellow. Also, don't forget the Homecoming Parade Friday at 5 in Charlotte Court House! Bacon has a float this year!

Bacon enjoyed the trip to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center yesterday! I think it was the biggest turnout we've had so far!! ❤️ Thankfully, the weather held out for us, and we were able to enjoy some fresh air during lunch.
Again, It never ceases to amaze us how well behaved our students are and how much they enjoy soaking up all the knowledge they can!

Parents and students enjoyed a cold but very nice educational experience at Mt. Vernon today. They were able to walk the grounds and also tour George Washington's home. Once again, we were complimented on how well behaved and polite our kids are! We are so proud of them and are glad they enjoyed the learning experience!

Thank you to Mr. Estes for planning such a fun night for our students and parents! (The same week he has programs at BOTH schools he works at!) Music Night was a HIT! Students went to his room for a little lesson then off to the gym where they learned a square dance!

FREE CPR certification for Bacon District Elementary families AND community on April 8th from 9-2! Please sign up ASAP as there are only 12 spots! If you have students that attends BDES, there will be a STEM program going on at the same time so no childcare needed.

**Must be Bacon District Elementary Students to attend the STEM program.
