🌟 Assistant Spotlight 🌟
It’s time to shine the spotlight on our incredible dance assistants for the current dance year!
First up - ELLA IYER!
-School & Grade: Tybee Island Maritime Academy / 7th grade
- # of years assisting: 1st year!
-Favorite style of dance: My favorite style of dance is tap! I love being able to make music with my feet and play with different rhythms and sounds. Tap can be challenging at times, but that’s what makes it so much fun.
-What’s one thing you love most about being an assistant? "Getting to share my love of dance with the younger dancers and watching them grow."
-What is one lesson dance has taught you that you carry with you outside of the studio? "Dance has taught me to work hard, never give up, and always keep pushing myself to be a better person. It’s taught me that you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to keep growing and showing up."
-What’s your favorite song to dance to right now? "This one is tough, but I’d have to say my solo song, The One Who Stayed!
-If you could have ANY superpower, what would it be? "To be able to watch any choreography once and instantly know how to do it perfectly. "
