Her production career spans some of entertainment’s biggest networks and names, including MTV, VH1, Tyler Perry, Food Network, WE tv and Bravo. A graduate of Jenkins High School and the TRIO Upward Bound Program, Ashley built her foundation on education, discipline and opportunity before continuing her journey at Savannah State University.

Today, she brings stories to life that resonate with audiences and drive conversations across entertainment. 🧡💙

An attorney and higher education professional, Tyler serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at Wake Forest University, where his work spans athletics compliance, eligibility, NIL, licensing and institutional policy.

At the heart of his work is a commitment to student success — helping student-athletes navigate an evolving collegiate athletics landscape while supporting coaches and staff through education, guidance and ethical decision-making.

Beyond his career, Tyler remains committed to leadership, mentorship and creating opportunities for others. 🧡💙

From accounting to investigative work, Shanavia Carter has built a career rooted in integrity, accountability and public service. 🌟

Savannah State University is proud to recognize Shanavia Carter as a member of our 2026 40 Under 40 Class. A December 2012 graduate, Shanavia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Her professional journey began in financial crimes investigation and has since included experience across state government, the private sector and public service, building expertise in complex financial and investigative matters.

Throughout her career, Shanavia has continued to draw on her background in accounting, critical thinking and commitment to serving others. 💙🧡

Savannah State University is proud to recognize Folana L. Houston, Esq. as a member of our 2026 40 Under 40 Class. Folana serves as Assistant General Counsel for a healthcare technology company, bringing her legal expertise to an industry where technology and healthcare continue to evolve.

A proud Savannah State alumna, Folana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SSU before continuing her education in public administration and law, ultimately earning her Juris Doctor with a Health Law Certificate. She is also admitted to the State Bar of Georgia.

Her journey from Savannah State to the legal field reflects a commitment to education, professional growth and excellence. 🧡💙
