Summer break doesn't mean the work stops for Savannah State's student leaders. 💙🐯

Recently, members of our Student Government Association, Royal Court, Greek Life Council and Campus Activities Board participated in the NASAP Student Leadership Institute at Claflin University, joining more than 400 student leaders from 47 institutions across the country.

Through intensive leadership development, collaboration and hands-on learning, our Tigers sharpened the skills they'll bring back to campus this fall—and several were recognized for outstanding presentations and contributions throughout the institute.

We're proud to see Savannah State students continuing to lead, learn and represent Savannah's University wherever they go!

🚧 Campus Traffic Advisory🚧

Beginning June 3 through June 7th, South Tompkins Road between the four-way stop and Alexis Circle will be fully closed to vehicular traffic to allow for roadway milling and repaving operations.

Barricades and traffic control signage will be in place during the closure. Please plan alternate routes and allow extra time when traveling through campus.

From student storyteller to mentor, educator and digital media professional, Kareem McMichael continues to make an impact both on campus and beyond. 🐯✨

A proud Savannah State University alumnus, Kareem earned his degree in Mass Communications in 2009, where he sharpened his skills as a reporter, anchor, producer and campus leader. Today, he serves as Online Content Manager in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communications, helping shape the next generation of communicators while advising The Tiger's Roar and co-advising PRSSA-SSU.

Recently, Kareem took the TEDxSavannah stage to share his talk, Shaping the Future—a reflection of his commitment to innovation, storytelling and empowering others through communication.

Whether he's creating content, mentoring students or representing Savannah State on larger platforms, Kareem embodies what it means to be a Tiger Trailblazer.
