Going back into inventory, it’s time to air out these basket-like vessels I create from time to time. 13” in diameter and 7.5” tall. What would you keep in them?Fruit? Dreams? Benjamins?. This is one of 7 lucky ones rescued from the attic/storage after Helene decided to remodel without our permission. The last image shows insulation still embedded between the clothespins!

I had not shared just images of this one so… here. Blending old and new techniques while exploring found natural materials. These ones (like most of my work) feel happy. I thought the outdoor photoshoot was fitting for the work: recently upgraded Salt Creek Park.

Ready to hang. At last. These are just a few of many that took 3+ weeks to prepare and photograph. I just call them Small Works ( they are yet to complain) and they all feel very biological to me.

It only took 8 years. I am at last preparing these small works for hanging and showing. Many were created during my wonderful artist in residence experience at the Deering Estate park in Miami. From close encounters with nature to my Biology roots, each is a little universe of curiosity. Well, they are to me. Mixed media on watercolor paper.
