: BSS is excited to welcome Michelle Santiago to the middle school mathematics team for the 2026-2027 school year!

Ms. Santiago is a product of Catholic education, graduating from St. Vincent's Academy. After completing her B.S. degree in Middle Grades Education, with a specialty in Mathematics, from Georgia Southern University, she taught in Savannah public schools, retiring after 30 years. "After substitute teaching for the last two years, I have realized how much I miss my own classroom. I am excited to be a part of the BSS team and once again play a meaningful role in helping children develop the mathematical skills and confidence they need to shape their future."

Ms. Santiago has two daughters, Abbey and Anna, who are both graduates of SVA and Georgia Southern University. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pups, boating, fishing, and cheering for the Braves and Bulldogs.

Welcome, Ms. Santiago! We can't wait to meet you soon! ☘️

: BSS is excited to welcome back Mrs. Taylor (DeLettre) Tyler! Our students may remember Mrs. Tyler when she was a substitute teacher at BSS while she was completing her degree. After teaching 6th grade math, science, and social studies at a Catholic school this past year, she will be returning to BSS as a 5th grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Mrs. Tyler graduated from GCSU with an undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Education, and will graduate from GCSU in July with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has coached volleyball since her junior year of high school, and plans to coach this upcoming school year at BSS!

Mrs. Tyler's favorite “treat yourself” places are Refresh Nutrition and Coffee Deli, and she enjoys visiting Greenville, SC, where her in-laws live. She is very excited to work at BSS!
