Third grade has been learning about animal adaptations, and specifically about camouflage and how it helps animals blend into their surroundings. They created their own camouflaged bugs and hid them around the classroom, then went on a scavenger hunt to see who could find them all! Students got very creative with their blending. ☘️

Happy ! We are forever grateful to the Sisters of Mercy from St. Vincent's Convent and the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church who envisioned our school back in 1939. Eighty-seven years later, Blessed Sacrament School proudly carries forward the legacy of Mercy Education in Savannah, Georgia. ☘

Today, we celebrate 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 with gratitude for the deep roots that unite our global Mercy family.

This year's theme, Rooted in Mercy, reminds us that Catherine McAuley's courageous "yes" continues to nourish our shared mission of faith, compassion, service, and care for those most in need.

We're honored to feature this beautiful student artwork, 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒂 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆, a digital graphic design created by III-Q Halsall, a 2026 graduate of Convent of Mercy Academy "Alpha" in Kingston, Jamaica.

Our PreK-1st grade STEAM classes became little scientists today as they explored the exciting world of chemical reactions! Students mixed materials, made observations, and watched as a chemical reaction took place right before their eyes. 🔬 Science is always more exciting when you can see the reaction happen! 🧪💥 ☘️
