Alex Mackowiak represented SAA exceptionally well this year and was honored as the Swimming Athlete of the Year at the Coastal Empire Sports Awards. In addition, she earned selection to the GHSA Class 3A-AA First Team All-State Swimming Team.

Savannah Arts Academy’s own Maya Lilja-Vazquez has been named the GHSA Class 2A Girls Golf Player of the Year by the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association! 👏✨

Maya capped off another outstanding season by earning All-State honors and finishing as co-medalist at the GHSA Class 2A State Championship, tying for the top individual score in the state tournament. This marks her second consecutive year as the state runner-up medalist, an incredible accomplishment for a sophomore.

The National Spanish Exam (NSE) is a prestigious assessment that measures Spanish language proficiency, provides objective performance feedback, and recognizes academic achievement. This year, 25 Savannah Arts Academy students earned an impressive:

Competing as an individual at the Okefenokee Country Club in Blackshear, Maya shot an impressive 1-over par 73 in the opening round and is currently tied for the lead! 👏

After battling back from an early double bogey, Maya finished strong with birdies on holes 11, 15, and 17.
