St. Vincent's Academy is the oldest mercy school in the world and has a long history of mercy values. We recently asked our faculty and staff what they think of when they think of the word Mercy at St. Vincent's Academy and what St. Vincent's means to them. We will highlight these each week. Here is today's highlighted answer from SVA President, Mrs. Mary Anne Hogan on what St. Vincent's means to her:
"St. Vincent's Academy is a physical and spiritual HOME . . . to me and so many. It is both a safe harbor and a place that challenges me to grow and push myself to be better every day. SVA is a place of HOPE and unlimited creativity and possibilities. The beautiful lessons and charism of the Sisters of Mercy permeates every aspect of our school. Once you are a part of the St. Vincent's Community, whether you are a student, teacher, staff, parent, or alumna, the Mercy core value of service becomes a part of you! It is a true blessing to be a part of SVA!"
We would love for you to answer these questions for us too! Send your responses to [email protected] with a photo!
