FLASHBACK FRIDAY! Here’s to the Class of 1996 and 30 wonderful years of memories, milestones, and accomplishments!
1996 milestones:
💻 The Internet was becoming mainstream, with more families getting home internet access.
📱 Cell phones were becoming more common, although they were still far from smartphones.
🎬 Popular movies included Independence Day, Twister, Jerry Maguire, Scream, and The Rock.
🎵 Popular songs included “Macarena” by Los del Río, “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion, and “I’ll Be There for You” by The Rembrandts.
📺 Popular TV shows included Friends, ER, Seinfeld, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Home Improvement.

From the Gulf War, to the rise of grunge style & music, blockbuster movies, and the birth of the World Wide Web, 1991 was a year of remarkable change. For the Class of 1991, it was also the year one chapter ended, and a new one began. Thirty-five years later, the friendships, memories, and traditions of the Class of 1991 remain worth celebrating!

WOMEN WHO LEAD- Congratulations to Annie Phillips Dean ’03, who is one of five distinguished Kennesaw State Athletics alumni selected for induction into the Kennesaw State Sports Hall of Fame!

From KSU: Annie Phillips established herself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in Kennesaw State women's soccer history during her four-year career from 2004-07. A dynamic scorer and playmaker, Phillips finished her career fifth all-time in school history with 78 career points and remains one of just 10 players in program history to record a hat trick. After earning Independent Co-Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman in 2004, she continued to develop into one of the top players in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Phillips earned Second Team All-ASUN honors in 2006 before putting together a standout senior campaign in 2007 that saw her capture ASUN Player of the Year and First Team All-ASUN recognition. That season, she helped lead the Owls to a Division I program-record 17 victories while recording six game-winning goals, the second-most in a single season in school history. Throughout her career, Phillips helped elevate Kennesaw State women's soccer and cemented herself as one of the most accomplished players in program history.

Way to go, Annie! You were a brilliant athlete at both SVA and KSU. We are so proud of you!

Cheers to Our Alumnae! 🥂🌿

Thank you to all of our wonderful alumnae who joined us for our annual Cocktails in the Courtyard last night! We had alumnae from the Class of 1960 all the way to the Class of 2020 in attendance!
It was such a joy to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the special bond that brings our alumnae community together.

We’re grateful you took the time to come back and make the evening so memorable. Even with the rain, we had fun, as Saints always do!

Special thanks to our Alumnae Board members who made the event a success (and a beautiful one too!)
