High School Students Do Better In Science, Math And English If They Also Take Music Lessons A new study shows that students who take music lessons in high school perform better in science, math and English.

When learning a new song, it is normal to want to get to the finished product. However, perfecting new progressions and riffs takes time. Start slowly so that you can focus on the correct notes and patterns as you build muscle memory. Try learning songs at half speed, and after a few nights’ sleep, sealing it in, you’ll have a solid base for bringing the piece up to tempo. As the BBQ folks say, LOW & SLOW! :)
