Our Scholars officially kicked off the Ignite Reading 1:1 Tutoring Program on Monday! This initiative provides targeted reading instruction designed to strengthen foundational literacy skills for our students.

Our 🦊 SCOUTS 🦊 were excited, our teachers were ready, and our classrooms were filled with engaged readers….🌟📖

🛎️Parents, please make sure you have an active Parent Portal account so you can check your child's progress report tomorrow. Progress reports will be available online. We will also send home Beginning-of-Year AMIRA and NWEA MAP assessment results to help you monitor your child’s reading and math growth.

If you have questions about the results or do not receive a copy, please send a note to your child’s teacher and call the school and leave a message requesting the reports.

Parents! September is here.. Each day we closely monitor the attendance of our SCOUTS. Students are expected to be in school everyday. If your student is absent, be sure to send their doctor's excuse or parent note. Our schoolwide Attendance Committee meets every week. If your student has missed 3 or more days, they will be recommended for Attendance Recovery. See the flyer below. School truancy begins at 5 days and grade level retention begins at 10 days or school. We need our scholars in school every day! When they miss school, they miss out!! 🛎️📢

📣 Our Scouts 🦊 were excited today to kick off the ⭐️Principal’s 100 Book Challenge! 📚⭐ All students are challenged to read 📕 25 books 📕 each marking period and reach the goal of 100 books by May 2027. ✅

Today our 5th grade students “Popped” 🍿 into a good book and our 4th graders walked the Red Carpet‼️🏃🏾‍♂️‍➡️Through consistent reading, our students will strengthen their Lexile levels, expand their vocabulary and sharpen their comprehension skills to build a lifelong love of reading. 📖

💙🎈🚀🎊The challenge is ON—100 books, here we come! 📖🚀 ⬆️
