GUYSโฆ WEโRE BACK! ๐๐ฌ
And unfortunately, so is the May Howard Elementary Lost & Found! ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐
Our Lost & Found fills up FAST! Here are a few simple ways families can help lost items find their way back home:
๐ท๏ธ LABEL EVERYTHING!
Please put your childโs first and last name on jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, water bottles, backpacks, and other belongings. A name is the quickest way for us to return an item!
๐ TEACH YOUR CHILD TO CHECK THE LOST & FOUND.
If something is missing, encourage your child to take responsibility by checking the Lost & Found every day until they find it.
๐ KNOW WHERE IT IS!
Our Lost & Found is located outside the cafeteria, between the cafeteria and the media center.
๐ฌ TALK ABOUT IT AT HOME.
Instead of only asking, โWhere is your jacket?โ try asking, โDid you check the Lost & Found today?โ A little reminder goes a long way!
โญ BUILD RESPONSIBILITY.
Learning to keep up with belongingsโand knowing what to do when something is lostโis an important life skill. We want our Hawks to learn to take responsibility for their things.
Label it. Check for it. Take responsibility. Bring it HOME! ๐ฆ

๐๐๐ FIRST WEEK = ROCKED! ๐๐๐
Well, May Howardโฆ WE DID IT! ๐ The first week of school is officially in the books, and somehow we are all still standing! ๐
Were there a few kinks to work out? Of course. A little controlled chaos? Perhaps. ๐ A whole lot of โWhere are you supposed to be?โ and โWhatโs your car rider number?โ ABSOLUTELY. ๐ But thatโs what the first week is all about!
Our amazing administration stepped up, jumped in wherever they were needed, problem-solved on the fly, and kept this big olโ Hawk nest moving in the right direction. ๐ฆ
Our teachers and staff rolled with the changes, helped one another, loved on our kids, and handled every little first-week adventure that came our way.
And our HAWKS? Just look at these sweet faces! ๐๐ They learned new routines, found their classrooms, made new friends, figured out lunch and dismissal, and reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
We worked out the kinks. We laughed. We adjusted. We probably hit our step goals before lunchtime. ๐ And most importantly, we took care of our kids and each other.
Week One: DONE. May Howard Elementary: ROCKED IT. ๐ฆ

๐ May Howard Alumni Spotlight! ๐๐
We love celebrating our Hawks long after they leave our halls!
A big congratulations to Andrew Davis and Jackson Tripp, two outstanding May Howard Elementary alumni, who were recently featured at SCCPSS Football Media Day representing Islands High School.
Andrew and Jackson have grown into exceptional young men who lead by exampleโboth on and off the field. Their hard work, character, and leadership make our entire community proud, and they are wonderful role models for our current Hawks.
As football season kicks off, letโs come together and support our communityโs team! Thereโs nothing quite like the excitement of Friday Night Lights, and weโd love to see our May Howard families cheering on the Sharks this season.
Congratulations, Andrew and Jackson! Your May Howard family is proud of you, and we canโt wait to watch all youโll accomplish during your senior year.
๐๐ Go Sharksโฆ and always Go Hawks! ๐๐
