STEAM Camp

Today is the last day of STEAM Camp for the summer! We've had a blast with the classes we were able to hold this year, and guess what? The fun of STEAM Camp is not over yet! We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting an E-Learning Academy this fall. We will supervise and help students with their online schooling and provide a place for them to also have fun and socialize while their parents are at work.

Sessions will begin on August 17. This is two days before the start of Chatham County Public Schools E-Learning and will give students a chance to play games and blow off steam before classes start. We currently have registration open for three weeks and will add sessions as needed if face-to-face learning is further delayed. Sign up at http://steamsav.com.

Group size is limited to 10 children. We are accepting students entering 4th-9th grade but will also take 2nd and 3rd graders who are attending with older siblings. We offer a 5% sibling discount. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for additional fees.

STEAM Camp Session 4, Catapults and Crossbows, starts next week! In this class we will discover the physics of projectiles by doing experiments with a variety of catapults and crossbows that we build ourselves. It's guaranteed to be educational and fun, plus campers can play video games during break time! There is still space available but we are limiting class size, so sign up today if you're interested.

STEAM Camp is still on for this summer! We are taking fewer students this year to allow for social distancing (one class per session, maximum of 10 students per class) and will follow strict monitoring and sanitizing practices.

In this course students begin to learn Unreal, a game engine used by professional designers, and create their own first-person shooter games. Unreal is a free download, so after the class is over you can play your game at home and continue to work on it or come up with others!
