Monday morning Taylor and I headed out for a two night getaway to Savannah, GA! It was the first time I have ever left TJ for more than a 6 hours, much less overnight! And only the second time I have been away from Everly for 2 nights in a row. ⁣
⁣
It was MUCH needed and well appreciated! Getting multiple nights of uninterrupted sleep, waking up on my own, and spending the whole day not fielding toddler snack requests…all for the first time in 15 months - and just focusing on me and Taylor! ⁣
⁣
We love our kids so much. But in the busy chaotic season of littles, it’s nice to be reminded to focus on each other and that there was an “us” before kids!! ⁣

I’ve been on a serious mission to decrease my screen time this past week. I won’t lie, it’s been embarrassingly hard. Having to actually delete apps, leave my phone in another room, and resist the urge to look up every thing that pops into my head right that very second.

It’s been so good though. And I will delete this app again after I post this because I’m still at the point where my thumbs will find it out of habit before I realize I’m mindlessly scrolling.

But I just had to have these pictures on a permanent spot on my feed because 😍😍 These kiddos have my heart. This is my favorite stage so far. They both play together mostly nicely and love each other so much. I cannot wait for the holiday season and seeing it through their eyes!!

My sweet little baby girl is THREE!

Three of the fastest years of my life.

It’s cliche but it truly feels like I blinked and she went from my 9lb 12oz chunky, sleepy, precious newborn to a full on preschooler who has conversations with me like she’s 10.

She makes me laugh daily and her love for her family, especially brother, is like no other. She loves making plans and would go to Target or “to pick up food” every single day if we let her.

There’s so much I could say about our sweet Everly Grace. I love you so much baby girl! Please stay little forever 😭

(I started tearing up last night talking about her birthday and she said “Mom, don’t be sad. Because I love you!!” 😭😭)

13 months of two kids and it just keeps getting better. I wouldn’t trade the lack of sleep or lack of free time for anything. Although I won’t mind when I do get some glimpses of that well rested life again one day 🤪

Being a mom is THE most challenging, sanctifying, rewarding job I’ve ever had, and I feel so blessed having these two wonderful kids to call ours ( )

Happy birthday to our favorite guy!! You are the best dad and husband to our family, and we love you so much!!

I’m thankful to have spent the past 5 birthdays with you, and can’t wait to spend so many more! I hope you feel so loved and appreciated this week. Our family could not do this life without you!!

First Disney trip as a family of four is in the books!

Both our parents took us on lots of vacations as kids, but you never fully appreciate it until you realize how much work family trips actually are!

We are all exhausted but made so many memories that we will cherish forever…and remind the kids about constantly 🤪

Worth the long car rides, early mornings, 30+ miles of walking, and planning!

I’ve been tearing up all week thinking about the fact my little baby boy isn’t a newborn anymore 😭 This past year has been such a whirlwind, and I’m so thankful for our sweet Taylor James 😍⁣

- Walking everywhere ⁣
- Trucks, cars, anything with wheels ⁣
- Reading books ⁣
- Blueberries 🫐 (like would eat a whole carton if I let him) ⁣

- is a full blown walker. (Hello leisurely trips down the Target toy aisle)⁣
- Can do the animal noises for elephant, monkey, and fish!⁣
- Milk lover still 🥛 ⁣
- Transitioned to one nap like a champ!!

- Crawling up the stairs ⁣
- Drinking from Everly’s water cups…only hers. Same with toothbrushes. It has to be hers. ⁣
- Listening to music⁣
- Playing in big sister’s room⁣

This month TJ…⁣
- is taking steps!! He still crawls more but will crank out a few bouts of walking every day and we can’t wait to see him walk more! 💪🏻💪🏻 ⁣
- Is more often than not sleeping an 8 hour stretch at night 😴😴 but has done 12 hours in a row!! (once but I’ll take it 🤪) ⁣
- Says “mama,” “dada” “down” and “dog” ⁣
- Can sign “all done”. ⁣
- Still loving mamas milk 🥛 ⁣
- Went to the zoo with Dad, Everly, and Nene!⁣

These kids 😍😍 The days are long but they make it worth it. And I know the years are short because we are weeks away from having a ONE year old and a few more weeks from having a THREE year old!

Taking these babies to DISNEY in September!! Give me all your Disney tips and tricks!! Also tricks for an 8 hour car ride 🙃🤪

5 years of being Mrs. Coleman and what a crazy 5 years it’s been!

There’s been a lot of fun moments, a lot of hard times, and a lot of mundane days in between. But there’s no one else I’d rather experience the ups and downs of life with. Thank you for being the best leader to our marriage and our family, for challenging me, comforting me, and always being down for an adventure. I can’t wait for the next 5, 10, 15, 20….and so on…years with you!

The start to summer has been filled with lots of adventures - Taylor introduced Everly to fishing and she’s a huge fan, TJ got tubes and after an hour was back to his happy self, and we’ve spent countless hours outside playing and splashing and enjoying the warm weather! Navigating life with two kids is not without challenging he’s but we are loving seeing summer through their eyes and slowing down to enjoy the simple things!

- is still pulling up everywhere and can even stand up for a few seconds by himself! We keep waiting for those first steps 👀👀⁣
- absolutely adores Everly⁣
- loves books, especially his touch and feel books! ⁣
- sleeping longer stretches at night 🎉….for now at least 🤞🏻⁣
- has his ear tube surgery scheduled for June 6. We are hoping this provides him some relief and for a quick and easy day!! ⁣
