Recently, Ms. Carlile and Ms. Roland's 6th & 7th graders visited the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge and learned about the Savannah River which provides rich habitats of the tidal freshwater marsh and bottomland hardwood forest that support a diverse array of migratory and resident wildlife.

8th Grade Bridging Ceremony Procedures and Protocols
~Event Date: May 20, 2026
~Guest Entry: 7:15 AM - 9:15 AM (Areas A, B, and C)
~Ceremony Start: 9:30 AM
~Ceremony End: 10:30 AM
~8th Grader Sign-Out/Memory Photos: 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM
~Departure from Campus: 10:50 AM - 11:00 AM
~Sibling Sign-Out Requirement: Parents must sign out any other students before the ceremony begins, as students will not be released until all Bridging Ceremony guests have exited the campus.
~Security Procedures: All guests will be required to pass through the SCCPSS Open Gate Security Systems located at all entry points (A, B, and C). Non-approved items will be temporarily confiscated inside the Theatre (managed by Mr. Rivers) and/or the Family Resource Room (managed by Mrs. Murphy) if guests choose not to return such items to their vehicles. List of non-approved items will be posted.
~Traffic Protocol Compliance: All guests must adhere to the traffic protocols as designated and directed by the OCS Traffic Control Team. Noncompliance will not be tolerated.
