This fall, DECAL, in partnership with Child Trends, will host a series of regional road shows for child care owners and directors across the state.
These events will provide owners and directors with opportunities to connect, learn, and grow while hearing updates from DECAL leadership, participating in educational breakout sessions, and engaging directly with agency staff.

October 15 – Tifton, UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center
October 20 – Cartersville, Clarence Brown Conference Center
October 22 – Morrow, The Morrow Center (Southlake Mall)
October 29 – Statesboro, Georgia Southern University CPE Center
Registration opens October 1. Please mark your calendars and watch for registration details.
The road shows serve a dual purpose. In addition to sharing important information, resources, and updates, DECAL leadership wants to hear directly from you, the providers, about the challenges and opportunities you face.
Each event will feature:
A plenary session with agency updates
Educational breakout sessions
An exhibition hall showcasing DECAL programs and services
Opportunities for informal interaction with DECAL staff
A provider focus group conducted by Child Trends to gather feedback on provider needs
These events are an important opportunity to strengthen our connection with Georgia's child care community and ensure providers have access to the latest information, resources, and support.
