We educate and engage our community in support of Gray's Reef and our great, global ocean. Ocean stewardship is in our hearts and minds every day.

We aim to develop ocean stewards through education, public awareness, and supporting the research and conservation initiatives of Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary. A chapter of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, we promote the Sanctuary’s initiatives, provide education programming, and develop events to raise awareness for ocean conservation in close collaboration with the Sanctuary management team.

Planning a trip to Savannah, GA? Don't miss the newly-reopened NOAA Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary Ocean Discovery Center!

The Ocean Discovery Center was just featured in Savannah Magazine as one of the top things to do in Savannah this spring!

"For an ocean escape that doesn’t require sitting in Tybee Island traffic, slip into the Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Ocean Discovery Center (340 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.). This compact space lets you dive into one of Georgia’s most fascinating underwater landscapes — without getting your feet wet.

Interactive exhibits introduce Gray’s Reef’s live-bottom habitat, a rocky, sponge-and-coral-studded oasis offshore that teems with life, from fish and sea turtles to brilliantly strange organisms that make the ocean feel otherworldly."

Plan your visit today! See more: https://savannahmagazine.com/culture/15-things-to-do-this-spring/

Thank you for making the Grand Reopening of the Gray's Reef Ocean Discovery Center incredibly special!

We were honored to bring our community together to celebrate our Georgia coast, and all our partners who work to protect this treasure.

It was a full day of hands on activities, live music, exploring our new ocean exhibits, along with connection and conversation.

This event was hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NOAA Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary, Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and the Savannah Downtown Business Association.

We are excited to embark on this chapter and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards! Plan your visit to the Gray's Reef Ocean Discovery Center today! https://graysreeffoundation.org/ocean-discovery-center/
