Raise The Bar
The official beginning of the campaign is designated to come in effect on Oct. 22 2014.
This Communications Campaign will help solve the crisis of graduation/retention rates at Savannah State University.It has been launched through two panel discussions held at the beginning of October. Research and interviews have been scheduled to gather information among the student body and faculty/staff to assure effective results immediately.

This campaign plans to increase the graduation rates by at least 30% for the next couple of years.

While mindful of graduation rates and energetic in improving them, RTB's primary planning focuses on improving retention rates first.

SSU retention rates are close to average for system and national peers;the level is lower than they should be.
They were 22% less likely to return to Savannah State.
Non Black students with a 99 point higher average SAT score, were outnumbered by Black Students 32:1 over the decade.
