The camps train teens in the basics of camcorder operation, visual composition, lighting, sound recording and editing. Our staff is comprised of experienced and award winning filmmakers that love sharing their passion for film. We are hosted by the acclaimed Hummingbird Music Camp in BEAUTIFUL Jemez Springs, NM. Hummingbird Music Camp has been in operation for over 50 years and has a long standing reputation of excellence. This years camp is from July 31-August 7, 2011. The cost is $545.00 plus an equipment rental surcharge of $50.00 per camper bringing the total to $595.00 (plus tax) for the week-long camp. The Team Learders-
John Grace:
Mr. Grace’s qualifications include having been the Director of Photography or Gaffer on numerous feature films and hundreds of commercials, music videos and industrial films. Grace holds a valid New Mexico teaching license and currently teaches film and digital media at DATA Charter High School in Albuquerque. For the past 8 years, Mr. Grace has offered Summer Film Camp for Teens through the University of New Mexico Continuing Education Department. Ward has worked in many different capacities on numerous short and feature-length film projects. Ward is the Creator/CEO of The Root 66, an online social media network with hundreds of members in NM and around the world. Ward is the Producer that initiated the movie currently being produced about "Mine That Bird", the 50/1 long shot horse from Roswell, New Mexico, that won the 2009 Kentucky Derby. Ward is also the producer of The Root 66 LIVE!, a live music television show currently in development. Brittney Higgins:
Miss Higgins is an Actress, Model and Photographer that has worked in many aspects of the entertainment industry. Miss Higgins is also a musician and a member of the family that owns and operates Hummingbird Music Camp and has a lifetime of experience working with youth in the BEAUTIFUL Jemez Mountains in Central New Mexico. Her involvement with CineCamps insures a fluid integration into the Hummingbird family.
