Football season is finally here! Pull out the houndstooth and join your fellow Bama fans at Poe’s Tavern in historic downtown Savannah for good food, drinks and fun as we cheer the #1 Crimson Tide on to victory over the storied UT Longhorns. This is a rematch of the 2009 National Championship. Festivities start at 11:45am and kickoff is at noon. 7 Martin Luther King Blvd.

Bama fans! See post below for LSU game info! A large crowd is expected at B&D due to the Rock n Roll marathon. There were over 100 folks at last year's party. Arriving very early to get a table is highly recommended. RTR!

The Marty Lyons Foundation will be hosting a golf tournament and tailgate party for the Bama vs Texas A&M game on Sat the 14th in Jekyll Island. There will be a number of former Bama players on hand and the local ESPN radio affiliate will be broadcasting live from the event. The cost of the tailgate party is $20 and includes all you can eat and drink. Here is the info.

For those of you looking for a fun place to watch this weekend's game, The Savannah Riverftont Assoc. is throwing the Ultimate Tailgate Party on River Street. There will be three large outdoor screens with one of them showing the Bama game. There will be food and drinks served by a number of local restaurants, corn hole, and ladder ball tournaments and other games. South Magazine will be on hand and Rock 106.1 will be broadcasting live. Bring a chair and enjoy the game in a festival like atmosphere. Here is the link:

Although we will not be hosting an official viewing party this weekend due to the Labor Day Holiday, Gene & Gayle Cartledge have invited folks to their home for the game. The 2013 Football Season is finally here! The Savannah Bama Club has planned at least 3 viewing parties this Fall. The first party will be for the Texas A&M game on September 14th. We will be reserving Bona Bella for the festivities. We also plan to have a party for the LSU and Tennessee games. Please check back for updates and details.
