Form meets function in Middle School Art! St. Andrew's students are thinking outside the box for their latest 3D design project.

The challenge: Concept, sketch, and hand-sculpt a completely unique, usable container. From multi-compartment organizers to custom everyday vessels, the creativity on display has been incredible.

After the clay dried, the students stepped behind the lens. Using black paper backdrops, they learned how to properly light and photograph their sculptures to build their digital portfolios.

Honoring our Savannah community is a central pillar in building the St. Andrew's Varsity Girls Flag Football team this season. On Friday evening, six of our student-athletes put that commitment into action by preparing dinner for families staying at the local Ronald McDonald House. The girls cooked a meal of buffalo chicken sliders, rice pilaf, garden salad, and chocolate chip cookies. Cultivating a spirit of service is exactly what the St. Andrew's difference is all about, and we couldn't be prouder of these young leaders on and off the field!

Leading with Service
As part of the Upper School’s week of class excursions, students participated in meaningful opportunities to serve their community. They cleaned Tybee Beach, cleared trails at Oatland Island, supported the Make-A-Wish organization, packed diapers for Over the Moon, and much more.

This annual tradition exemplifies another dimension of the St. Andrew’s Advantage: encouraging our oldest students to develop a deeper sense of social consciousness and a lasting commitment to serving their community.

Would Betz Creek be a good home for oysters? Our third graders are finding out! Through our partnership with Education Community Oysters (ECO Georgia) and the Tybee Oyster Company, students tested the salinity and turbidity of the creek right here on campus. We can’t wait to see how their data compares to the waters at the actual oyster farm later this semester! Experiential learning is what the St. Andrew's Advantage is all about.
