Today, SSU NROTC hosted its annual Army ROTC vs. Navy ROTC Flag Football Game. It was a fun and exciting event, with both teams showing great sportsmanship and support for one another. The competition was fierce, but in the end, SSU Navy ROTC came out on top with a 42-36 victory. A big thank you to all the cadets and Midshipmen who participated. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Go Navy, beat Army!

On October 27th, a group of dedicated midshipmen gathered at the Savannah airport to celebrate a recent alumn from our unit. LTJG Malik Perry planned a portion of his advanced flight training cross-country flight back home to the Savannah airport just in time for HOMECOMING!!!
The event was attended by LT Andrew Fredericks, LTJG Emily Spence, MIDN 1/C Batiste, MIDN 4/C Perry, MIDN 4/C Cathey, and MIDN 4/C Rodriguez.
The day was both educational and inspiring, as the midshipmen there appreciated the hard work and dedication needed from naval aviators.
LTJG Perry’s flight was not just personal achievement, but an example to his younger sister MIDN 4/C Perry of the opportunities to come!

Veterans Day is a time for Americans to express gratitude for the sacrifices and service of veterans, whether in times of war or peace. It’s different from Memorial Day, which honors those who died in service, as Veterans Day recognizes all who have served, living and deceased.
On this day Savannah State University NROTC unit honors those who served and those currently serving!⚓️🐅
