The BIG Idea Youth Entrepreneurship Academy is a dynamic program that equips youth entrepreneurs with the tools they need to turn their ideas into thriving businesses.

The BIG Idea Academy offers hands-on workshops, expert mentorship, and invaluable networking opportunities. Our youth entrepreneurs will gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to flourish in the competitive business landscape. Did I mention they also have a chance to compete for startup funds to fuel their business ventures?!

I am excited to announce a new opportunity for Tennessee 4-H members that are interested in learning more about photography, videography, graphic design, and writing!

This Communications Ambassador program is an opportunity to see more of what the organization has to offer. The youth that are selected to participate in this program will have the opportunity to:

- Become more comfortable with a DSLR camera.
- Participate in trainings that will teach them how to take and edit quality photos and videos.
- Take photos at regional and state events.
- Design infographics
- Learn how to write news stories and informational content.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Tennessee Farmers Cooperative!
The 2023 4-H T-Shirt Design Contest will showcase the talent of Tennessee 4-H'ers. The contest aims to raise funds for local 4-H programs while providing an opportunity for young designers to showcase their skills and win prizes.
The winning designs will be featured on T-shirts that will be made available for sale at local Co-ops and Stockdale's, with a percentage of the proceeds donated to our local 4-H program.
The 4-H member with the winning design will receive an iPad and Apple Pencil valued at $600. The contest will run from August 1 – September 30.

We had a great 3 days of cooking camp! Day 1 was our Tiny Tot Chefs. They learned about their digestive system and what a healthy plate looks like, made food art, and made lots of healthy snacks. Days 2 & 3 were the older Super Chefs. They worked together on teams both days. Activities included a grocery store scavenger hunt, being brave with a taste test challenge, line dancing, made personal pizzas, creating their own recipe, and ended with the a cook-off. Thank you for allowing your children to attend our summer day camps!

4-H Honor Club FUN Day!!
We had a great day at the Artsy Place and Sky Zone. These kids deserve it!

UT Extension Hardin County would like to congratulate Aubrey Garton for being inducted into State 4-H All Stars over the weekend.
All Stars is the second tier of the 4-H Recognition Program. Aubrey is very involved in 4-H work and shows leadership and service in her efforts. This recognition is well deserved!

4-H Jr High Bus is headed home!! The bus should arrive back in Savannah at Farmers Market around 11:30!!

Sondra and Farmers Market Fresh program assistant, Abigail, had tasty, fresh samples, insulated totes & great nutrition information last week at the farmers market. Come see Abigail until noon today to sample Green Bean Medley and get a free water bottle.

A new week and another week of camp! The Junior High level campers are headed to Ridley 4-H Center in Columbia for 5 days of awesome activities & memories to last a lifetime!

Campers are loading the bus now! We will arrive at the Savannah Farmers Market to unload the bus between 11:30 and 11:45. See you there!

The last few days of camp!! There were STEM workshops, American Sign Language Hiking, party jumpers, crafts, tons of delicious food.. it’s been a great week!

Nice morning at the lake!

We’ve had a GREAT first day at 4-H camp!! We had archery and rifle range time, delicious food, lake fun, lots of Ga Ga games, and crafts! We even had a camper learn to SWIM today!! We can’t wait for the action packed days to come!

Hardin County 4-H campers started the week off with lots of fun activities!!

Camp Introductions!!

This group is headed for a week of adventure at 4-H Summer Camp! Pictures will be posted throughout the week of all the great things they’re doing.

It was a great week of arts and crafts camp. Day 1 participants were youth ages 5-8 and Days 2 & 3 were focused on the older kiddos. Day-campers painted, made jellyfish, decorated shirts, learned wood burning, made Japan Herbarium bottles, and much more.
