This past Friday at our monthly meeting Past President Mike Gammons Jr handed out his annual awards for the year 2022! Lady Rachel Newell for the Jean Richie Service award! Noble Past President Curtis Green for the Jim White Service Award! Lady Lisa Croft for Shrine Lady of the Year! And current West Jax President Jon Croft for Shriner of the Year! Congrats to all nobles and Ladies! Then we had a special service award created in memory of Lady Rebecca RuBright and was presented to Noble Past President Bobby and Lady Rachel Newell! Lady Rebecca devoted herself to our organization and club and her memory will always live on!

Today West Jax Shrine Club held our Annual Shriner Children’s Christmas Party! Great time was had by all and even got a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus!

This past weekend the West Jax Shrine Club Ballyhoo Buggys traveled up to Savannah, Georgia for Alee Shriners Fall Ceremonial! Thank you to Alee for being so hospitable to our unit members!

To all of our many Service Men and Women, we here at West Jax Shrine Club thank you for your service and sacrifice you have made for our freedom! Not only today, but EVERYDAY!

Today is the birthdate of Shriners!

A meeting held on September 26, 1872, at the old Masonic Hall on Thirteenth Street in New York City, is recognized as the official founding of the fraternity, originally known as the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Mecca Shriners was established at the first “temple” or chapter.

Today we hosted our Annual Golf Tournament! Couldn’t have asked for better weather, or turn out! Thank you to all of our golfers, volunteers and sponsors that made this tournament a success!
