You have to look in the mirror for anything to change.
Chris Fraize's Intdiy: It's Not the Dog; It's You
Creating a better perspective for dogs with human problems!
Lost in the mix, too many dogs.
The evaluation has barely started when the dog offers the first piece of honest information. Before labels, history, or opinions, watch what happens when Chris' apprentice applies a little pressure and the dog responds.
In The House of Dog, we break down the YouTube video "GOD: Gift of Desperation – Evaluation Case Study #001"
and dig into the bigger issues hiding underneath the dog problems.
This isn't just a story about an 8-month-old giant breed dog with multiple bites on people and dogs. It's a case study in identity, misguided compassion, mass delusion, denial, conflicting beliefs, and the consequences of teaching a powerful dog all the wrong lessons during its most formative months.
The owners arrived deeply concerned. The dog had already delivered multiple bites to multiple people, had a history of aggression toward other dogs, and was creating fear throughout the household. At over 130 pounds and still growing, the stakes are high.
But the real story isn't just the dog.
It's the people.
Different perspectives. Different beliefs. Different levels of accountability. Different understandings of what is happening right in front of them.
In this breakdown, we explore:
• The evaluation process and what it reveals
• How dogs learn from the environments we create
• The dangers of turning dogs into identity projects
• Misguided compassion versus genuine leadership
• The communication gap between owners
• What the dog's behavior is actually telling us
• Why difficult decisions become unavoidable when reality is ignored
• How small mistakes compound into major problems
This is one of those conversations that reaches far beyond dog training. It's about responsibility, truth, relationships, and the stories people tell themselves when reality becomes uncomfortable.

Then join us live Thursday nights at 7:00 PM Eastern where Dogmanship Tier members can watch the videos, participate in the breakdowns, ask questions, and continue the conversation with the community.
These discussions are where the real learning happens.
Watch. Think. Question. Learn.
Safe training,

G.O.D. EVALUATION CASE STUDY #001: BIGGER ISSUES.
Most people believe they have a dog problem.
Dogsmanship asks a different question:
What is the dog trying to tell us?
This is the first installment in a new series of G.O.D. (Gift of Desperation) Evaluation Case Studies, where we examine real evaluations through the lens of Dogsmanship.
Not to judge the dog.
Not to judge the owner.
But to learn how to see.
In this case, we're looking at an 8-month-old, 130-pound St. Bernard with a history of human bites, dog attacks, territorial behavior, previous training, and conflicting perspectives from the people handling her.
Most of the dog industry focuses on treating symptoms.
Dogsmanship focuses on understanding causes.
Instead of asking:
"How do we stop the behavior?"
We ask:
"What is the dog experiencing that is creating the behavior?"
These case studies are an opportunity to look at the other end of the leash, step outside our emotions, and learn to see the situation from the dog's perspective.
Remember:
Movement is dialogue.
The dog will teach you everything you need to know.
It's not the dog, it's you.
