🕊️ This Week at Susie | September 14–18

Happy Sunday, Susie Families! 💙💚 We’re ready for another great week of learning, growing, and having a little fun along the way!

A few things to keep on your radar this week: Wednesday is Snack Corner Day 🍿 and our 5th graders are heading out on their field trip! 🚌 On Friday, scholars can participate in Football Friday, and we’ll also celebrate National Rice Crispy Day! 🏈

📚 Don’t forget to RSVP for Literacy Night! We are looking forward to welcoming our families on September 24 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. for Literacy is Our Superpower! Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your family’s spot.

Today, Coach Carter and Coach White from the Savannah Impact Program for PALS Flag Football stopped by SKTCS to personally congratulate three of our amazing scholars:

We are SO proud of these young ladies and love seeing our scholars shine beyond the classroom! 🕊️💙

A HUGE THANK YOU to Coach Carter and Coach White for leading, encouraging, and supporting our girls every step of the way. Having adults in our community who pour into our young people, celebrate their accomplishments, and remind them of their potential makes all the difference.

We are SO incredibly proud to celebrate our very own Ms. Nancy McCarthy! 💚💙

Nancy is one of those educators who reminds us exactly why this work matters. She shows up for our scholars with love, patience, high expectations, and a genuine belief in what they are capable of becoming. And now, our community gets a little glimpse of the amazing educator we are blessed to see every day!

Seeing Nancy and the work happening at Susie King Taylor Community School highlighted by WJCL is such a special moment. 🥹
