Don't Make a Shipwreck of Your Life
(1 Timothy 1:1-20)

The apostle Paul said that "God is the King of all ages" (v. 17). There are two implications in this statement: First, God has a Kingdom (a government or a country) that is reigning in eternity (it has been in existence before the beginning of time and it will continue to exist even after the heavens and earth pass away). The second implication of Paul's statement is that only eternal beings can be citizens of this Kingdom.

I'm not an eternal being. You're not an eternal being. We arrived on this world with an expiration date. Therefore, we need someone who can grant us a citizenship to God's Kingdom.
The Good News is that God sent Someone to remove the expiration date attached to everyone who arrived on this world DOA (dead on arrival). That's you and me. And that Someone is no other than Christ Jesus who came to the world to save sinners (v. 15).

This Kingdom should interest you because there is nothing like it. God is the only God (v. 17). The truth is, you can't choose to be a citizen of another place because God's Kingdom is the only place that is reigning supreme and eternal. This is why the apostle Paul urged Timothy to fight the warfare of misinformation (v. 7) because there were many during their time who were acting and living a life of unbelief.

Unfortunately, the warfare of misinformation continues today. However, we at Project Shine works to cast a light where the darkness has fallen. Using research-based teaching strategies and the power of God's Word, we promote literacy skills to help students read and think critically. Our aim is to raise a new generation of believers who are confident in their assertion of the faith they profess (v. 7). Our vision is to see this generation of believers sailing firmly on the ship of their faith--confident and unwavering--the banner of Christ lifted high amidst the gales of life.

If you see your child sailing on that ship, sign up FREE. Our tutoring is every Sunday beginning September 18 from 10:30AM-12:30NN at 2607 Aimar Avenue, Savannah, GA.

See you there!
