HCHS Youth Leadership

Last night these 4 YL Grads were recognized as being finalists for the Tabitha L. Gean Student of the Year Award. We are so proud of all 4 of these girls! They are all deserving of this award! The Student of the Year recipient was chosen as Audrey Blackwelder! Audrey is an outstanding (and very BUSY) young lady who has shown great leadership through her 4 years at HCHS! Congratulations to these 4 for being chosen to represent HCHS in such a positive way!

YL Grad, Kane White, was chosen to represent HCHS & TVEC at the 2024 Tennessee Washington Youth Tour in Washington D.C. While there, Kane competed in the Youth Leadership Council Speaking Contest. Kane walked away with 4th Place! We are so proud of this leader! Congrats Kane!

We were too busy having fun to take pictures tonight, but I’m going to brag on our Youth Leadership kids for a minute!

Each year, Youth Leadership must complete a class project to graduate from the program, This year, they chose to have a nice appreciation dinner for the Hardin County Schools Cafeteria Workers!

I want to thank every person that played a part in making tonight a success! From buying baked goods from their bake sales to sponsoring this event, you all made this event happen! I cannot even begin to list everyone that donated, volunteered, helped, cleaned, etc!!

To my leadership kids, wow! I am so amazed at how successful this night was. You all stepped up in a huge way. This is what being a LEADER is all about!
