Last night, this precious child, Olivia Lewis, delivered a thoughtful prayer at the beginning of the graduation ceremony. Olivia is a fearless leader. She analyzing everything before speaking then gives the most thoughtful answers and responses. So proud of you, Olivia!

All 5 students are Youth Leadership Graduates! We could not be more proud of the success our Graduates have had and continue to have!

With just a few more days left until graduation, we would like to congratulate all of our Seniors at HCHS and our five finalists for the Tabitha L. Gean Student of the Year Award! 🐯🐾

We are excited to recognize these students again when the Student of the Year is announced at our 27th Annual Distinguished Service Awards on June 22, 2023! 🏆🌟

At the graduation ceremony, Haley Grace Johnson have an outstanding speech. It takes a lot of nerve to get in front of your peers and deliver a speech, and she absolutely NAILED IT! Wonderful job, HG!

This year, Kane White was chosen by his peers as the “Leader of the Year.” Kane has lead the pack this year whether it be diving head first into ice cold water at Dry Creek or holding the door for all the ladies. Great job, Kane!

Another year of Youth Leadership has ended, and we are all very sad! What a wonderful group of leaders we have had the privilege to spend time with this year! Congrats to these 22 Central Bank Youth Leadership Graduates (Not Pictured: Molly Pierce)!

The rest of BACKROADS day was spent with Mr Jay, Mrs Cher, Mr. Kelly, & Mr. Kevin. We visited their new ATV park and the famous “Rainbow Falls.” We then enjoyed lunched provided by the Outpost at the new “The Outpost at Rainbow Falls.” Give the new store a few weeks and it’ll be up and running! It’s such a cool place! Thank you to the Harrison’s for their hospitality today!

Everyone’s favorite day: BACKROADS! First stop was to shop for their class project. This group raised over $1750 to go towards purchasing gifts for residents in all nursing facilities in Hardin County! So proud of these students for the heart they have!

Congrats to current Youth Leadership student, Emma Oakley, for receiving an Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Level Award for encouraging eligible students to register to vote! Also, congrats to Mrs. Cox for receiving the award and being dedicated to this project! 🗳️ 🇺🇸

A Day on The Hill is always a good day! Thank you to Senator and Representative Kirk Haston for meeting with our students today. A special thank you to Ms. Jerri for making this stop happen!

We wrapped up our Education Session with a visit from UTM’s Interim Chancellor Dr. Phil Cavalier & Executive Director of the Office of Enrollment Dr. Jamie Mantooth! They did a wonderful job speaking about leadership and what’s to come after high school. We are so thankful for their support!

What a fun time we had at our Northside Elementary stop! Thank you to Mrs. Rachel and her faculty/staff for having us and for our goodie bags!

Sheltering Tree Ranch’s Chuck Wagon General Store was a delicious stop! Students learned about the programs Sheltering Tree offers, ate a great lunch and did a little shopping in the store. Thank you for having us!

Thank you to Mrs Tori & Mr. Richie at TCAT for showing us around today! We have so many great educational opportunities right here in Hardin County!

Industry day is always a big day! We can’t thank Clayton Homes, Savannah Foods, Packaging Corp of America, and Design Team enough for their hospitality! Our students were very surprised at what all our county has to offer.

Jude Bledsoe received a job offer from Cherrod Barton of HCA for placing 1st in Employment Interview at the National JTG Conference held in Washington DC!! Congrats .a.bledsoe !!!

What a great (and chilly) day we had!! Local Government/Public Safety was so fun! Students learned so much about our City & County! Thank you to the MANY that were involved in making this day so successful! Also, thank you especially to the City of Savannah for providing our lunch today!

Congratulations to our wonderful leader, Mr. David Baker, on being chosen as the TSBA School Board Member of the Year!! Mr. David has been a part of Youth Leadership since it’s inception, and we wouldn’t know what to do without him! Thank you for all you do for our group, school system and community!
