An exciting experience happened yesterday for our 8th graders! Along with their Social Studies teachers, they had the unique opportunity of welcoming guest speakers, Lisa Landers and Stan Deaton from the Georgia Historical Society. SCELA even received its very own rendition of "Today in Georgia History." Check out the clip here:

Friday and today, I had the great opportunity to have John Berlon, staff attorney at the Juvenile Court, to be a guest speaker on my Zoom sessions. The students asked some really fantastic questions!
There is currently a match donation. Please help me get this funded so I have all the materials I need for the school year.
Kleenex is currently matching donations; therefore if I get $133, my DonorsChoose project will be fully funded. Please consider donating and/or sharing this link so I can get it funded. It would allow my teaching team to each have their own class set of rulers and scissors.
