Greetings ChathamREA Members and Supporters.

Twenty-seven members of our unit attended the Area 5 & 6 meeting held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Jesup, Georgia.

The meeting was hosted by Area 5 Director Edna Shurley and provided everyone with an opportunity to receive valuable information, reconnect, and fellowship with other members.
It was great to have GREA President Dr. Sallie Mills present. She was joined by GREA President-Elect Ms. Liz Bouis, GREA Executive Director Johnny Smith, GREA Legislative Liaison Dr. Bill Sloan, TRS Representative Mike Zarem, and AMBA Representative Lisa McKenzie.

Greetings, ChathamREA Members and Supporters!! 💙💛
Our leadership team is already hard at work planning a fantastic 2026–2027 year of fellowship, service, and support!! 🎉 They met on July 27th, when President Dr. Pamela West and President-Elect Barbara Caughman presented the 2026–2027 agenda. We are looking forward to a year filled with fellowship, service, support, and opportunities to make a difference!

📚 Several ChathamREA members also participated in the Education Subcommittee of the Mayor’s REAL Task Force, continuing our commitment to education and our community.

🚌 Next Stop: Area 5/6 Meeting in Jesup!
We are excited to join fellow retired educators on Wednesday, August 12th at the First Baptist Church, 185 S Brunswick St, Jesup, GA 31546 at 9:30 am.

Our very own, Mrs. Martha McCullough, celebrated her 99th Birthday on June 5th with a special parade, complete with decorated cars, balloons, cards, and a personal es**rt from the Savannah Police Department!
The Celebration of her milestone birthday continues...
