A good day of learning starts with breakfast! If your child hasn’t eaten breakfast at home, have them at Haven by 8:55 a.m. so they have plenty of time to eat, get settled, and be ready for learning at 9:15. 💚💛Breakfast isn’t served after 9:15 am.

Understanding the SCCPSS homework policy is important. As I review our Hornets’ grades, I’ve noticed that homework is not consistently being turned in.

Homework is for practice, review, and reinforcement of skills already taught. It should be based on completion and effort, not whether every answer is correct.

At home, please provide a routine, read directions, and offer encouragement, but don’t give answers or complete the work for your child. Mistakes help teachers know what needs to be retaught.

Your job: Support & encourage.
