What a great day for our PA students! Last week, South University, Savannah hosted a PA Career Day for our Physician Assistant students graduating in March 2027. Several employers joined us on campus to meet our students, share their open opportunities, and pitch what makes their organization a great place to launch a PA career, including one employer who drove all the way in from Orlando, FL to be here!

Our students got to explore a broad range of PA hiring opportunities as they gear up for their final rotation and graduation. We are so grateful to these employers for taking the time to invest in and encourage our future PAs:

🎓✨ A milestone worth celebrating in Savannah!

South University, Savannah recently celebrated the graduation of 30 new anesthesiologist assistants from the Master of Science in Anesthesia Science (Anesthesiologist Assistant) program at the historic Charles H. Morris Center at Trustees Garden in downtown Savannah. 🥼

The Class of 2026 achieved a 100% retention rate, making this celebration even more meaningful as we welcomed 30 new healthcare professionals into the field. 👏

Adding an extra-special full-circle moment to the celebration, our graduate speaker was Jay Bodalia, CAA, a member of South University’s very first graduating class in 2006. Twenty years later, Jay returned to South to share his words of encouragement and celebrate the newest generation of anesthesiologist assistants. 🩺 ↻

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see where your South University journey takes you next. 🎓

Every year, the South University Physician Assistant Program in Savannah partners with the South University School of Pharmacy to offer flu vaccines to our students and faculty. The 2026 event, held on campus for three days, was able to ensure our students and staff stay healthy for the coming flu season!

A huge thanks to Dr. Chizoba Odimgbe, Christina Nolasco, and Alexis King from Walmart Pharmacy for coming out and dedicating their time to help make this event a success.
