Yesterday our Kinder - 4th graders got to "Step Up" and check out their grade level pods and teachers for next year. They had a great time hearing from their potential teachers for next year and ask some questions about the next grade they are entering! Our Kindergarten teachers had fun with our 5th graders during this time, too!

Some 5th grade students made solar ovens and some reached 200 degrees because of their excellent engineering and knowledge about solar energy, reflection, insulation. How cool is that? They even made some yummy treats in their ovens! Jeffers Pond Prior Lake-Savage Schools

On Friday we had a wonderful day having our Silent Auction winner, Harrison, be Principal/Dean of Students for the day! He had a full schedule starting with parent drop off duty, meeting with his admin assistants, teaching a 2nd grade class a new song in Spanish, reading to classes, checking on playground behaviors, having a Friday lunch date with office staff, making sure students were on task and safe all day, working with 2nd graders during their morning meeting, etc. He even had his own mug (it says "Redtail Ridge 25-26" on one side and "Principal/Dean for the Day" on the other side) and he dressed the part! We had so much fun with Harrison!! He was a trooper and we think he enjoyed the day!
