VetsBoats shares the magic and beauty of wooden boats to help restore health and well-being to military veterans who suffer from PTSD and Traumatic Injuries.

VetsBoats is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring health and well-being to military veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic injuries through the transformative power of wooden boats and sailing. We are here to inspire and motivate them to participate in marine education, sail training, and restoration on the San Francisco Bay and beyond.

Healing can manifest in many ways and sometimes it starts on
the water, surrounded by people who simply understand.
At VetsBoats, we believe camaraderie is one of the most
powerful tools in overcoming the isolation of PTSD.
A shared day restoring a classic boat, swapping stories, or enjoying the quiet rhythm of the water reminds veterans that they are part of something bigger than themselves.
When purpose meets community, hope grows.
Every conversation, every project, and every voyage helps rebuild
confidence, trust, and connection.
No veteran should navigate life's rough waters alone.
DM us for information on our upcoming sails and events.
We'd love to have you join us! โ›ต๐Ÿ€

โš“ Find Your Crew. Find Your Purpose. Join Us on the Water.
Whether you're a veteran looking for a community that understands or someone who wants to support those who served, VetsBoats invites you aboard.
Our events are more than days on the waterโ€”they're opportunities to connect, share stories, learn new skills, and experience the peace that open water can provide.
Every voyage strengthens friendships, builds confidence, and reminds us that no one has to navigate life's challenges alone.
If you've been thinking about joining us, this is your sign.
๐Ÿ“ฉ Send us a DM to learn about upcoming sails, restoration projects, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved. Whether you're a veteran, family member, or supporter, we'd love to welcome you to the VetsBoats community.
โš“ Your next adventure starts with a message.

Clover and Her Service to Veterans โ›ต๐Ÿ€
Built in 1938, Clover has weathered storms, crossed countless miles of open water, and
carried nearly a century of stories in her wooden hull.
Time left its marksโ€”but it never
took away her purpose.
With patience, craftsmanship, and care, Clover has been lovingly restored, not to erase
her history, but to honor it. Every plank, every repair, and every sail reminds us that
strength isn't about never breakingโ€”it's about continuing the journey.
Many veterans carry experiences that have changed them forever. PTSD can leave
lasting scars, but those scars do not define a person's worth or their future.
Like Clover, healing isn't about becoming who you once wereโ€”it's about finding new purpose while honoring everything that brought you here.
Out on the water, veterans discover more than sailing. They find community, confidence, and moments of peace beneath open skies. Every voyage is a reminder that even after life it's roughest seas, there is still wind to catch and new horizons to
explore.
Restoration isn't about returning to the past.
It's about building a future strong enough to carry your story forward.
โš“ Fair winds and following seas.

Between April and July 2026, donor generosity funded a series of no-cost sailing experiences on San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta for veterans, law-enforcement officers, first responders, dual-status participants, and family members.
Each sail combined hands-on participation such as steering, raising sails, and working lines with unhurried time to talk, reflect, and simply be on the water in a safe, welcoming environment. Donor support also helped fund sailing programs, Clover becoming operational, vessel maintenance, fundraising capacity, and infrastructure for future growth.

Twenty-five veterans joined us on the water to celebrate Americaโ€™s 250th birthday ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ aboard Clover. It was a very special day shared in a setting that continues to bring healing, camaraderie, and purpose.
For many of the veterans aboard, this was their first experience with Clover. Watching them step onto her deck, hear her story, and become part of her next chapter was something very special.
This day would not have been possible without our supporters. Their belief in our mission is what brings these moments to life. Become a VetsBoats supporter and help veterans to continue finding connection, community, and a renewed sense of belonging.
