VOLUNTEERS WANTED!!!

LSSU is hosting a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) District Qualifier March 30 - April 2, 2016 at the Norris Center!!!

We will be hosting high schools from all over MI including the UP!

There are over 100 opportunities to volunteer! (Its okay if you don't know anything about robotics.) There's something for everyone!

We are looking for:
- Handing Out Safety Glasses
- Crowd Control
- Helping Line-Up Teams
- Referees
- Safety Inspectors
- Machine Shop Assistants
- Judges
- Score Keepers
- Field Element Set-Up Team
- Robot Inspectors
- Announcing
- Master of Ceremonies

PET BED MAKING EVENT COMING UP!!!
Thursday - March 10, 2016. MacArthur Room. (8-10PM)
Come out and make tie-beds for the Chippewa County Humane Society! We will also be taking donations for the Humane Society. Drop off any pet supplies in front of the ID Desk or the Campus Life Office now - thru March 12, 2016!

TRICK-OR-TREAT THROUGH OSBORN HALL!!
On Thursday, October 29th, at 6:30 pm, we will be inviting the community to trick-or-treat through the first floor of Osborn.
We will be providing candy to student residents who will be willing to sit in their doorway and pass it out to kids who come through.
If don't live on the first floor but still want to participate still let us know, we have plenty to do.
We encourage you to get into the Halloween spirit and dress up however, make sure it is appropriate for little trick-or-treater's eyes!
Please come out to this event, it will be a lot of fun!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOME HEROES!
Are you interested in being a superhero for a day? If so, please contact us at [email protected]
Volunteers are needed as costumed superheroes, cooks, set up crew, and clean up crew for a pancake breakfast. This fundraiser is for the Dianne Peppler Center and will be held on October 17, at the Sault Ste. Marie National Armory from 8-11 a.m.

Lincoln Elementary Playground Build

We are looking for volunteers to help the Sault Community with their Lincoln Elementary Playground Build. This event will be helping with the setting up of the structure, it's estimated start time is 9:00am and it goes until the structure is complete.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!!

Run for the Light
Saturday - October 10, 2015
Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum
Whitefish Point, MI

We are looking for a few good volunteers to take out to Whitefish Point to help out the wonderful folks at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum during their 5th Annual Fun Run/Walk. This is a HUGE annual fundraiser for the museum. Proceeds help pay for the ongoing restoration of museum grounds and its operation.

What do we need?
YOU! (Yes, you reading this!)

What will you be doing?
Manning the route for the 5k, 10k, and half-marathon. Make sure no one gets lost and is safe.

What do you need to do?
Contact the LSSU Volunteer Center or Message us you are interested. [email protected] - so we can put you on the list. We are hoping to take two LSSU shuttle vans out there. Come out and help your local community, enjoy the beautiful fall weather and scenery that is the Whitefish Point Lighthouse!
