Congratulations to Adam St. John on his Michigan Shakespeare Festival debut! 🎭

Many of our charter school students already know Adam through the engaging outreach experiences he provides with the LSSU Charter Schools Office. Whether he’s leading theatre workshops, inspiring creativity, or introducing students to the performing arts, Adam brings incredible energy and passion to every interaction.

We’re excited to see him take the stage this summer and are proud to have such a talented educator and artist supporting our charter school community.

Adam is is an actor, professor, director, and podcaster.

He is excited to be making his Michigan stage debut with MSF.

He earned his MFA in Acting from Indiana University and has acted professionally across the country and abroad. Some favorite roles of his are Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Seattle Shakespeare), Proteus in Two Gentlemen of Verona (Harlequin Productions), and Katurian in The Pillowman (Secondstory Rep).

Adam is an Assistant Professor at Lake Superior State University where he teaches acting, theatre history, film, podcasting, and performance writing.

Recent directing credits at LSSU include Rabbit Hole, The Laramie Project, Art, and God of Carnage.

He is also the co-host of two film podcasts: 1001 by 1 and Below Freezing.

All his love goes to his two daughters, Stella and Sophia, and his wife, Melissa.

From the classroom to the playing field and beyond, Charlton Heston Academy students continue to achieve great things!

📚 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
✅ Most grade levels achieved reading growth above the 40th percentile.
✅ Middle school science students exceeded expectations, reaching the 51st percentile and achieving more than 100% of expected growth.
✅ 56% of the Class of 2026 is continuing on to college, including two graduates who completed the Early Middle College program.

🏆 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞:
🏈 Football Conference Champions
🏀 Basketball Conference Champions
💇 Cosmetology students earned 1st Place at the state level and sent CHA's first-ever competitor to Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.
🌱 More than 55 K-5 students participated daily in after-school programs including tutoring, LEGO Builders, Science Club, Gardening, and more.
