And just like that, the 2025–2026 school year has come to a close.

The hallways are already quiet, the classrooms are a little emptier, and another year of memories has been made. From the first day of school to the last, our students have learned, grown, achieved, and created moments that will stay with us for years to come.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making this year so special. We are proud of all that was accomplished and grateful for the support, dedication, and kindness shown throughout the year.

We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another amazing year in the fall!

Congratulations to Our Odyssey of the Mind World Finals Team!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Odyssey of the Mind team for their outstanding performance at the 2026 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Ames, Iowa! After months of hard work, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance, our students competed against some of the best teams from around the world in their Long-Term Problem division. Their innovative solution, strong performance, and dedication earned them an impressive 15th Place in the World in their problem and division!

World Finals brings together hundreds of teams and thousands of students from across the United States and numerous countries, making this achievement an extraordinary accomplishment. Simply qualifying for World Finals is a tremendous honor; placing among the top teams in the world is a testament to our students' talent, determination, and ability to think creatively under pressure.

Throughout the season, this team demonstrated resilience, collaboration, and a willingness to tackle challenges with courage and imagination. They represented our school, community, and Anishinaabe values with pride and excellence. Please join us in congratulating these remarkable students on an unforgettable season and an incredible accomplishment on the world stage!

Kindergarten had the most amazing field trip to the Garlyn Zoo and the beach! Thank you to everyone that made this possible!

Thank you to our Kindergarten teachers and paraprofessionals for all the planning they do to make this happen, all of our support staff and chaperones for stepping up and lending a hand, to the kitchen staff for the picnic lunches and our amazing bus drivers for making the trip possible and exploring the Zoo with us. Last but not least Thank you to the Garlyn Zoo for always welcoming us with open arms for a day of fun, learning, and adventure.

We sure have an amazing crew and we couldn’t do it without you all!
