🎓 Standout Graduate Spotlight

Lindsey Tonello is a Nursing graduate from Cadillac, MI.

A 3.71 GPA student-athlete, Lindsey competed in Women’s ACHA Hockey and NCAA Track & Field all four years at LSSU, earning CCWHA D1 All-Conference 2nd Team honors for the 2025–26 season.

Balancing the demands of athletics and academics, Lindsey made the most of her time at LSSU while preparing for a career in patient care. 🩺

Next up: working as a New Graduate Nurse in the Emergency Department at Munson Hospital in Cadillac! 🏥

✨Today, our LSSU senior nursing students are participating in a Teen Health Fair at Pickford High School, led by the Chippewa County Health Department.

This hands-on experience is part of their Nursing of Populations course, coordinated and taught by Associate Professor Jaimee Gerrie, where classroom learning comes to life through meaningful community engagement. Students are focused on promoting safety and health awareness for the teen population.

⚕️Meet Hannah, a CTE alumna, who now works for MyMichigan Health in Sault Ste. Marie after graduating from Lake Superior State University with a BSN in Nursing. Hannah's passion for the medical field started her junior year of high school when she took Health Sciences through Sault Area Career Center.
